Fifth international film festival FreeNetWorld will be held from 4th till 6th of October 2012. We would like to invite filmmakers from around the world to submit their films.
Submissions are being sought for the first NW Animation Festival, set for June 3-5 in Portland, Oregon, USA. The festival, which will be held at the city’s historic 5th Avenue
All filmmakers and animators are invited to produce an original and imaginative film that works within the confines of 60 seconds and enter it in the Fifth Renderyard One Minute Film Challenge.
Our theme for this month is "Story & Storyboarding". Our speakers are Trish Malone, an international Script Development Consultant, and Daniel Snaddon, animation director at Bugbox.
Our first meeting in quite some time will be held on Thursday 26 Nov 2009 at 6.30pm for 7pm. The get-together is kindly being hosted at Touchvision's Randburg offices.

Junes Animation Xchange meetings in both Cape Town and Joburg were packed with great work and an overall focus on animation in gaming. A few local companies showed some of the interesting animation orientated stuff being used in interactive applications, mobile games and an awesome new movie from the Blender foundation.
The March meeting of Animation Xchange showcased some progress from a few local productions currently in the pipeline from different studios and sound was the common theme of this months event.
